Frequently Asked
Questions
How do we get started?
Just fill out our contact form, tell us about your goals and we’ll set up a free 30 minute session to get acquainted and demonstrate how online tutoring works. Once we’ve met, I’ll build a plan that leads to success.
Can I adjust my schedule?
Yes, with 24-hour advanced-notice you can reschedule your session up-to two times without an additional fee.
What is your tutoring policy?
Sessions rescheduled within 48 hours are subject to full payment for teachers’ time. We do our best to accommodate your schedule!
How does billing work for tutoring?
We require payment in advance. You can pay monthly using a simple autopay option ($500 USD). If you choose to pay session by session, full payment of fees ($150 USD) for tutoring sessions are due 24 hours before your session. If payment is not received on time, the session will be canceled.
What happens if I do the monthly payment option and there is an extra session? Do I need to pay an extra fee?
No. On months that have an extra session, you get that session for free!
Why should I use a physics teacher for math tutoring?
I am a certified math teacher as well! Something to consider however is how math and science are connected. In fact, physics could be considered an applied math course. A question I often heard when I was in the class room was, “…when will I ever use this?” My knowledge of physics provides real world applications of math concepts.
Will you help with homework?
I prefer not to do homework problems during a tutoring session. If you are after getting a solution to a problem or seeing how a problem is done, I think there is a better way. I would recommend you check out our Solutions Library Membership. This membership gives you access to an expanding library of video solutions to hundreds of problems for a monthly fee that is a fraction of my hourly tutoring rate ($19/ month vs. $150/hr). The membership also has the opportunity to submit questions to be answered.
